Porcelain | Royal Copenhagen | Blue Flower Curved

Denmark's flowers in blue have been hand-painted since 1779. In 1885, Arnold Krog became art director of the manufactory, and under his direction the well-known splendid tableware was created. Royal Copenhagen traditionally made the pattern "Blue Flower" in three variants. "Blue flower braided" - "Blue flower curved" - "Blue flower angular". Today, the "Blue Flower" lives on in the latest pattern "Blomster". In the variant "Blue flower curved" the flower bouquet is arranged asymmetrically and framed by a braided relief edge. This asymmetry is a special feature of the Rococo period.
