Porcelain | Rörstrand | East Indies

The Rörstrand manufactory was founded in 1726 in the village Rörstrand, today's Stockholm district of Birkastan. The Swedish manufactory has produced many well-known patterns such as "East Indies", "Koka" and "Mon Amie". The decor "East Indies" was designed in 1932 by Nils Lundström. The inspiration came from Chinese porcelain, which was imported by the Swedish East India Company in the 18th century. Since 1988, "East Indies" is produced in a slightly different form as feldspar porcelain.
