When Fanny Garde created the Seagull pattern in 1892, she hardly dreamed that it would become the biggest success of the Bing & Grondahl manufactory. Fanny Garde could observe her models flying in front of the window of her workshop, which inspired her to design the seagull pattern with scale relief, seahorses and snails. Bing & Grondahl produced two different variants:"Seagull with gold" and "Seagull without gold"
